Time Spent In Space
On the beach of Fire Island, the night sky was clear enough to see Saturn, Mars, and the Milky Way. We were drunk enough, passing my pipe, thinking how small we were in this universe, in a cliche stoner fashion. It was one of those perfect moments. Two best friends, sharing a point in time, similar to ones shared in the past, as though that moment was eternal, and we could revisit it whenever we want. A combination of the right amount of substances and your favorite person by your side. Nothing matters in this present. Gazing into the stars we’re aware of how insignificant we are, and how fleeting this moment is, but we are there we are, and everything feels fine. The universe spends it’s time watching us, seeking our purpose in the universe. It’s such a primitive human thought. But in this brief moment, it was as if we found a pocket that was space-less, and timeless, and for a change, we were watching the universe.
